Exactly What We Needed
Our travel agent recommended that we stop half way through our African Safari for several days to relax, unwind and enjoy Africa. What a brilliant suggestion! And this is an ideal place to do it at. 5 star service - 4 staff looking after our family - amazing cooking - I even asked for recipes - the decor /architecture of this 3 bedroom home is stunning and so well suited to the environment. A watering hole outside the door with 2 outdoor dining places, grass for the kids to run around on, a swimming pool and BBQ area, and close to lots of wildlife to visit. The drive to the top of the hill where the house is situated is an adventure in itself (and may be a weakness if it wasn't such a thrill). After so many days on dusty, bumpy roads, 4 nights here was just what we needed. There was plenty to do, but we didn't feel bad just relaxing and watching the animals at the watering hole as we updated our Facebook pages and edited our photo's using the free internet provided. We certainly intend to come back here again with even more of our family."

Overall Increadible Experience
First off, all of the facilities are gorgeous. The tents are more comfortable and beautiful than most high-end hotel rooms. Complete with toilet, double sink, indoor and outdoor showers, small writing desk, sitting areas, comfortable beds and linens, etc. The main hall offers a variety of sitting and eating arrangements. The dining table was moved to sit before a beautiful fireplace one night when there was a little chill in the air. The food was fresh, delicious, and offered several times a day at a caliber of a fine restaurant. The hosts, Roelof and Helen, were warm, knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. One or both of them joined us for each meal.
The best part, however, was the bush hikes. Each morning we were awoken with a coffee/tea service and hot water for showers before dawn. We met at the main hall at 6:00 for a quick breakfast of porridge, fruit, and toast, and then headed out on foot with Roelof. Our group was in good shape and wanted a nice long hike, so we were out for 4-5 hours immersed in the bush with the animals. It was such an incredible experience to feel like we were out there, in the real and natural habitat with all of these animals. We saw lions, elephants, baboons, giraffes, zebra, gazelles, bees, hippos, and many, many more. I'm not much of a bird person, but even I could see there were hundreds of beautiful birds flying and calling around us. Roelof was a wealth of information and I could see he has a real love for the animals and nature. He would take us quietly up to safe viewing distance from the animals and we would just watch them for a few minutes and then quietly sneak away, sometimes they didn't even know we were there.
Overall it was an incredible experience. I want to thank my lucky stars for bringing me there."

I stayed for 4 nights in the Dunia Tented Camp at beginning of May and the least that I can say is that it was an amazing experience. The hotel can not be more confortable and the staff can not be more amazing and nice. Dunia team is absolutely 5 starts. The tents are big and gorgeous, confortable, bathroom works perfectly, food is good and the camp fire at night is great. Our guide Patena is very knowledgeable about animal life and the park. We were lucky to be there to see the great migration when it´s possible to see what I called “an ocean of animals”. It´s breathtaking! My days there were absolutely memorable."

Best Place In Africa To View Migration
If there's one place still left in Africa to authentically experience this extraordinary cycle and feel like you are the first person in the world to come across it, then go to Namiri."

Bush Hospitality at its Best!
Ubuntu is a mobile camp that changes its location based on the migration. When I visited in late May, the camp was in the Western Serengeti, close to the Grumeti river. My stay here was perfectly in line with what I had experienced at Dunia, which is a very high standard of service and comfort, while remaining unpretentious and true to the to the ideals of spending time in the bush.
I was lucky that during my stay some herds were actually crossing the Western Serengeti on their way towards the North, so I got to experience some of ‘the great migration’. Granted, you probably won’t see hundreds of thousands of wildebeest grazing on wide-open plains due to the nature of the terrain in this part of the park, but the experience is still fantastic. I was lucky to watch a wildebeest be taken down by a crock, and five cheetahs chilling in the grass waiting for any kind of prey to walk by. Those were definitely two highlights during my entire trip, and I hope to return to Ubuntu one day."

Heaven on Earth!
This is without a doubt the most heavenly place nestled in a magnificent area of our planet. The Serengeti is BREATHTAKING and every single detail of this camp honors this. Staff are wonderful, warm, real and profoundly connected/sensitive to nature and the animals living there. The tents are gorgeous and the food is divine. I long for this place all the time, it's that special. I believe the Serengeti is the most magical land on this planet."

All of the reviews are true! This camp is completely amazing! I selected Asilia specifically because of the reviews I read on TripAdvisor and I have to say the camp was exactly as described.
We stayed for two nights in mid-March on our way further into the Serengeti. I wish we stayed longer. There are so many reviews which go into detail about the comfort level and service that Olakia provides. I think it's pretty fully covered and you can expect an amazing experience."

a special treasure of africa!
This place will forever have a very special place in our hearts. This was our final leg of our Safari through Tanzania and we will always have such vivid memories of the beauty and experience of this place.
The guides were brilliant! The thing we value was that the guides truly respected the animals and landscape and this meant we had an amazing experience watching nature unfold without disturbance. We saw other guides interrupt the flow of nature by getting too close to the animals just for the ‘photo opp’ but the way our guides showed us around meant we got to see much more authentic and natural experiences. Cheetah hunting. A cheetah and her cubs. Wild dogs hunting down Wildebeest. A leopard on the prowl. Hyena and vultures fighting over a zebra carcass. The guides had eyes like eagles, unbelievable driving skills and the respect for the animals and environment that we loved. We were over the moon by what we got to see and their commitment to show us the beauty of Africa. Plus we got to share many laughs along the way!"

A great family experience!
We stayed at Mara Bush House for 3 night with our 3 year old girl and our friends with 2 small children. We were a bit anxious to take our daughter to East Africa on a safari but we had the most amazing time. The house was stunning with a waterhole in front of the house and a nice big pool.
The Maasai staff were just so friendly and professional and the food was all very delicious. The staff played with the kids all the time and even taught them how to use a bow and arrow.
Our guide Fred was just the best. He taught the children so many things while driving around and seeing all the animals. And distracted them when they got tired or over enthusiastic when they had to sit calm. It was just perfect! A great family experience!"
