Simply Loved Ubuntu!

This was the first of two Asilia camps my husband and I stayed in and the experience will make us always look for Asilia. Our guide was wonderful, always finding just the animals large and small as well as many, many birds, we hoped to see and answering all our many questions with humor and patience. Our tracker was fascinating, a Maasai who had killed a lion as a young man. The camp managers could not have been more helpful and thoughtful. The food was abundant and scrumptious. The bucket shower, my first, was an unexpected pleasure. Because the migration wasn't at the Grumeti, our guide said we would go to it three hours away in the Central Serengeti in a closed car with a pop up roof, to avoid the dust. We saw thousands of zebra on the move, beautiful cheetahs drinking and hunting, many lions and a leopard before we returned to Ubuntu West. Thank you Yustus, Anna, and Future for making our experience so wonderful."

Four Nights in Paradise

Just returned from four incredible nights at Olakira. Every single member of staff did their utmost to ensure our stay was fantastic. Their friendliness and professionalism contributed hugely to a memorable experience. We had wonderful wildebeest crossings, at which our guide, Nathan, managed to position us in the "pound seats". The game drives were incredible. The food was delicious. The tents were comfortable and beautifully furnished, but retained the "under canvas" feeling of being close to nature. It truly was a once in a lifetime experience. The worst thing about it, was having to pack up and leave at the end of our stay."

Wildebeest Migration Hotspot

This camp was recommended to us by our travel advisor at Audley, and it could not have been better. We were particularly keen to witness the migration of the wildebeest across the Mara River - and what we saw was like watching a BBC wildlife programme - just what we hoped for, and more. Truly amazing. The staff at the camp were first rate, especially our guide, Baraka. The food produced by the chefs was incredibly good. We slept soundly, even with wildebeest chomping grass right outside our tent. Our three night stay was a wonderful experience in every way."

All About The Safari

Rekero is one of my favorite destinations in Kenya. The small camp is located in an oasis of animals on a beautiful viewing spot that has water during the raining season.
Safari's will not disappoint. I have been to this camp 3 times at various seasons. The service and food is excellent and safety is a priority. The actual tent is very inviting and comfortable. If you desire to see the mirgrati and have a superior location for viewing, you should strongly consider the camp and book about a year in advance, they are usually full and have 70% repeat clients, so you can imagine how great it is!"

Best Camp So Far

Jackie & Justin team hats off to you guys. I still remember the food. Best hummus I have had in Africa.
Great accommodations and loved the outdoor shower!
Our stay was excellent and like the fact that there is no wifi. We really had family time because of no wifi. And thank you for tsetse fly self made remedy. They also have this knowledgeable guide Lewis. Ask him about his past experience in bush. I could spent days listening.
Keep up the good work guys!"

Exactly What We Needed

Our travel agent recommended that we stop half way through our African Safari for several days to relax, unwind and enjoy Africa. What a brilliant suggestion! And this is an ideal place to do it at. 5 star service - 4 staff looking after our family - amazing cooking - I even asked for recipes - the decor /architecture of this 3 bedroom home is stunning and so well suited to the environment. A watering hole outside the door with 2 outdoor dining places, grass for the kids to run around on, a swimming pool and BBQ area, and close to lots of wildlife to visit. The drive to the top of the hill where the house is situated is an adventure in itself (and may be a weakness if it wasn't such a thrill). After so many days on dusty, bumpy roads, 4 nights here was just what we needed. There was plenty to do, but we didn't feel bad just relaxing and watching the animals at the watering hole as we updated our Facebook pages and edited our photo's using the free internet provided. We certainly intend to come back here again with even more of our family."

Overall Increadible Experience

First off, all of the facilities are gorgeous. The tents are more comfortable and beautiful than most high-end hotel rooms. Complete with toilet, double sink, indoor and outdoor showers, small writing desk, sitting areas, comfortable beds and linens, etc. The main hall offers a variety of sitting and eating arrangements. The dining table was moved to sit before a beautiful fireplace one night when there was a little chill in the air. The food was fresh, delicious, and offered several times a day at a caliber of a fine restaurant. The hosts, Roelof and Helen, were warm, knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. One or both of them joined us for each meal.
The best part, however, was the bush hikes. Each morning we were awoken with a coffee/tea service and hot water for showers before dawn. We met at the main hall at 6:00 for a quick breakfast of porridge, fruit, and toast, and then headed out on foot with Roelof. Our group was in good shape and wanted a nice long hike, so we were out for 4-5 hours immersed in the bush with the animals. It was such an incredible experience to feel like we were out there, in the real and natural habitat with all of these animals. We saw lions, elephants, baboons, giraffes, zebra, gazelles, bees, hippos, and many, many more. I'm not much of a bird person, but even I could see there were hundreds of beautiful birds flying and calling around us. Roelof was a wealth of information and I could see he has a real love for the animals and nature. He would take us quietly up to safe viewing distance from the animals and we would just watch them for a few minutes and then quietly sneak away, sometimes they didn't even know we were there.
Overall it was an incredible experience. I want to thank my lucky stars for bringing me there."

Breathtaking Experience!

I stayed for 4 nights in the Dunia Tented Camp at beginning of May and the least that I can say is that it was an amazing experience. The hotel can not be more confortable and the staff can not be more amazing and nice. Dunia team is absolutely 5 starts. The tents are big and gorgeous, confortable, bathroom works perfectly, food is good and the camp fire at night is great. Our guide Patena is very knowledgeable about animal life and the park. We were lucky to be there to see the great migration when it´s possible to see what I called “an ocean of animals”. It´s breathtaking! My days there were absolutely memorable."

Best Place In Africa To View Migration

If there's one place still left in Africa to authentically experience this extraordinary cycle and feel like you are the first person in the world to come across it, then go to Namiri."
