Hi all, in this week's update, Sayari Camp
in the Northern Serengeti (Kogatende area) are still enjoying spectacular wildebeest crossings over the Mara River, this late into the season. Have a look at the photo we received this morning that Sayari Manager Kath took of their crossing seen this morning around 8:00 AM of around 5,000 wildebeest crossing the Mara River from North to South... They have been seeing similar crossings the entire week, sometimes three a day!
The news from the camps further south in the Serengeti, especially Ndutu, is that it has not rained yet so still hot and dusty. Other big herds of Wildebeest are still situated in and around the Western Corridor, from Kirawira airstrip, Bela, Bela campsite and Mbalangeti campsite. In the Moru Area of the Serengeti, many herds of Zebra have been seen as well.
