Migration Monday Update - 06 Jan 2014This past week the Ndutu and Ngorongoro Conservation Area (NCA) has had some very good rainfall and the area is becoming beautifully green with new grass growth, crucial for the Wildebeest and the survival of their new born calves.

Word from Ubuntu Camp is that they have had rain and thunderstorms every two to three days and their camp and the area is full of Zebra and Wildebeest. Every morning they wake up to hundreds of wildebeest in and around the camp.

Olakira Camp is also seeing good numbers of Wildebeest in their area, which is the heart of Ndutu and the small and big marsh, big herds are seen on the Kusini plains as well as some groups still found on the Naabi gate plains and a few herds in and around the Ndutu marsh areas.
