Hi all, and welcome to this week's Monday Migration update. Our lovely photo this week is shared by our recent Olakira Camp
guest Eleanor James who stayed at the camp with her dad David. Thanks so much for sharing Eleanor, great photo!
The migration is still very much in full force in Northern Serengeti/Kogatende and the Maasai Mara, Kenya. All our camps in the North have had super sightings as many herds of Wildebeest have crossed the Mara river to both sides, heading North as well as coming back South. The past few weeks there has been a good build up of rain in the area but it always seemed to drift North into Kenya. On the 8th August we did have some very much needed rain in Northern Serengeti so we expect to maybe see another big movement of Wildebeest coming across the river to Tanzania. again next week for more updates!
