Hi all, it's time again for the Wildebeest Migration update from the Southern Serengeti/Ndutu and the greater NCA (Ngorongoro Conservation Area)
Word from our Ubuntu Camp
is that they have had heavy rain the last couple of days, not good for our vehicles but great for the Wildebeest and more nutritious grass. The area around Ubuntu is teaming with wildebeest, 70% are with their calves while others are still carrying them. They have moved a bit from South to North between Ubuntu and Ndutu, but they are all back again, and the plains and valleys around camp are full of them, even walks are fantastic amongst thousands of Gnu's. At the moment they have a nice green area about 3km from the camp.
From Olakira Camp
they reported that there are also still good numbers and herds around Naabi Hill area, as well as Simba Koppies, you would also still find some scattered groups around center Ndutu and the marsh areas but seems most of the bigger groups are situated more South from there towards Ubuntu Camp.
Happy game viewing, till next time.
