Hi all, and welcome to this week's Wildebeest Migration update!
Nice images again coming from our Olakira Camp this week. The update from Olakira Camp
is that they have had some rain on and off this week. They have not seen a lot of wildebeest around the Ndutu area, only some few herds; we suspect that they have gone further back into the Serengeti (Southern plains). The time of the year has arrived where they will be slowly moving further North towards the Western Corridor of the Serengeti National Park. Olakira Camp last saw good numbers from Golini, going forwards towards Seronera.
One of our Arusha safari guides Jackson, who just came back from a safari in the Serengeti yesterday, reports of finding the wildebeest North East of Naabi Gate all around the Gol Kopjes area, and they might also move further in towards Piyaya and Loliyondo. Next week will be interesting to see where they end up...!
Happy game viewing,
Joe du Plessis, Head Guide Asilia Africa
