A magical place
Each tent (I'll call it a tent but it was very luxurious) is situated with a view of the Talek River. From the comfort of your bed you can gaze out at zebra, hippos, elephants, wildebeest, baboons, topi, gazelle and giraffe stopping for an afternoon drink. There are some places on earth that are magical. Rekero is one of them."

Bucket list must
I was blown away by the level of service which would put many top Sydney restaurants to shame. (…) Being woken each morning with freshly baked cookies and plunger coffee, while in the wild, was awesome ... not to mention evening drinks around the campfire. I am telling all my friends and family about this camp; hospitality deluxe + wildlife migration = perfect holiday."

Exciting stay at Dunia, very warm & friendly staff
The location is amazing, all tents face the east and you can see beautiful sun rise while lying in your bed. The camp is located in the wilderness and wild animals are near and close which makes it very exciting!"

Up close and personal with 100,000 wildebeest!
We were very close to the action for spectacular crossings by armies of wildebeest. (…) If you ever come to Africa you must come to the northern Serengeti to see this emotional spectacle."

We have just returned from a 5 week African adventure and one of the highlights was the Olakira Camp in the Serengeti, on the Mara River. Truly wonderful. Great tent "suites", location, staff, food and guides."

A little slice of heaven
We spent 6 wonderful days at Matemwe Retreat in 'Nuru' at the end of our Honeymoon and it was fantastic. Menlad was a superb butler - very attentive to detail and professional. We loved our Swahili lessons! The retreat, with its stunning views, very thoughtful design and amazing roof terrace with plunge pool was all we had hoped for and more. Thank you to all the staff for making us feel so welcome and at home."

Our stay in Matemwe Retreat has been absolutely brilliant! To have such privacy in the villa with personal plunge pool, the most beautiful view, great bathroom, romantic bedroom really was breathtaking. Our butler Menlad was excellent; he made sure we got everything we needed, always with a smile and Hakuna Matata, no problem!"
