A WORLD APART
To sit around a roaring fire under an African sky sharing stories with our hosts was a rare treat. The tents were luxurious but retained the sense that we were staying in the wilds; the outdoor showers were a pleasure and a novelty. The food was exquisite, and the managers', Helen and Roelof, hospitality unrivalled."

A fantastic camp
Dunia camp is not for you if you want broadband, power showers etc but it was great for us as we wanted a feeling of being in the wild whilst still being well looked after. We fell asleep to the sound of Hyena and woke to Lions roaring – wonderful."

Another excellent Asilia Camp
The more remote location of this camp gets you away from all the other safari vehicles but the game viewing is still outstanding. We saw everything but a wildebeest river crossing during our stay."

Lessons from humanity
Ubuntu means "humanity" in Swahili. (…) Our five star rating goes beyond the typical lodge experience, we really discovered some profound lessons there. Ubuntu reminds us that we can be our best selves — don’t be so hard on humanity that you stop seeing the solutions for balanced living that a small group of Africans living and working in the middle of nowhere have been able to come up with."

Topi House: Can't wait to return
I have never felt more at home than I did at the Topi House. Absolutely beautiful setting, great sunsets by the fire, fantastic food, lots of humor. House was immaculately clean. The staff, who I can't all name, were so solicitous - whatever we needed or thought we wanted, they made sure we had it. Leonard was a suburb chief! He really needs to put together a cookbook. He spent hours hand writing receipes for me. Our host Salaash and his right hand man, Loli, were just fantastic. Salaash knows the Mara like the back of his hand. A fantastic guide and person. I hope to return and when I do, the Topi House is my #1."

OUTSTANDING SERVICE
It was our first trip to Africa and Naboisho Camp was a fantastic setting for our safari experience! The tents were luxurious and welcoming. We were right in the bush."

Bliss
Peter and his staff were just wonderful and the food was amazing and the environment breath-taking. Our tent was better than any hotel we have stayed in as it felt so homely and warm. (…) We loved the interaction of the staff and felt like after 2 nights we were leaving lifelong friends."

Wonderful camp to experience the wilderness without too much of luxury
Olakira provides the experience of living in the bush in a tent and yet offers all the comfort and amenities of a luxury hotel. (…) There are other camps in Serengeti that offer more luxury. However what Olakira offers strikes a balance between wildlife experience and comfort. That is what we were looking for."

A perfect way to end our visit to Africa
After a 9-day safari we were ready to relax. The resort is beautiful and the staff is magnificent. We were met by David (the manager) and our butler for our stay, from then on we were treated like family. Everyone knows your name and is so friendly. We celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary there. Our friends contacted the resort prior to our visit and we surprised by a dinner on our friends rooftop. It was beautiful and the staff joined us to celebrate. I cried when we left. And I will return. Oh wait. Salem, Abdi and Edi. You are in our hearts forever."

Great, great camp – just book it
A really wonderful stay - the location is stunning and the pool a real bonus with a 12 year old. The view over to Kenya from the pool was amazing."
