We have just returned from a 5 week African adventure and one of the highlights was the Olakira Camp in the Serengeti, on the Mara River. Truly wonderful. Great tent "suites", location, staff, food and guides."

We spent 6 wonderful days at Matemwe Retreat in 'Nuru' at the end of our Honeymoon and it was fantastic. Menlad was a superb butler - very attentive to detail and professional. We loved our Swahili lessons! The retreat, with its stunning views, very thoughtful design and amazing roof terrace with plunge pool was all we had hoped for and more. Thank you to all the staff for making us feel so welcome and at home."

Our stay in Matemwe Retreat has been absolutely brilliant! To have such privacy in the villa with personal plunge pool, the most beautiful view, great bathroom, romantic bedroom really was breathtaking. Our butler Menlad was excellent; he made sure we got everything we needed, always with a smile and Hakuna Matata, no problem!"

We spent 3 wonderful days in this fabulous camp and understand why it is rated No1 on this site. The management, staff is exceptional, warm and caring and the facilities are excellent. Food was really fantastic. Our night drive was super fun with a great guide and spotter."

Staff, food, rooms were the best we experienced in Tanzania. Everything was perfect, especially the staff. The food was as good as we have had in any 5-star hotel. The location gave us immediate access a wide variety of animals. We will return!"

A stay at Ubuntu is a must if you’re looking for top quality service, fantastic cooking and generous hospitality. (…) If you’re going to Mara Serengeti when the migration is in the north then you’ll do no better than Ubuntu Camp."

Came to Oliver's as the first stop on safari having climbed Kilimanjaro. Fantastic camp - amazing wildlife and exemplary hospitality and amenities. The walking safari a definite highlight of the trip. Will definitely recommend to others. Thanks!"
