  • Ocean trips with snorkeling equipment can be easily arranged for you
  • Sail or motor out to the local reef and discover the little island of Mnemba Atoll- right opposite Matemwe
  • Diving trips can also be organized with a professional diving center: One Ocean where you can discover the breathtaking underwater world of the Indian Ocean (suitable for all levels of experience). Please see the information below about One Ocean dive centre and all they can offer  
  • You can also snorkel straight from the beach or during reef walks
  • Kayaks are available to explore the crystal clear sea
  • Village visits can be arranged to learn more about the local Zanzibar culture as well as the community projects Asilia are involved in.
  • Day-trips can be arranged to the historic centre of Stone Town, Jozani Forest or Prison Island as well as a Spice Tour for those interested.

One Ocean offers daily dive excursions to the Mnemba Atoll.
Mnemba Atoll is a marine park with a plethora of fish life, green turtles, bottlenose dolphins, Spanish dancers, trevallies soft and hard corals and good visibility. We have various dive/snorkel sites there to suit all levels of experience. Our dive instructors and dive masters aim, not to simply lead a dive, but to reveal the mysteries of the reef to our divers.
 
One Ocean offers scuba courses from complete beginner to Dive Master level, speciality courses and has highly qualified and experienced instructors available to teach PADI courses in several languages.
For the complete novice we have a Discover Scuba Diving program, whereby non certified divers can dive at the atoll with an instructor. This is a great course for anyone that has always wanted to experience the pleasure of diving, without committing a couple of days, or more, to a certification course.
