Getting To Know: Zawadi
By Britta Foulis – Content Marketing Manager
Meet Zawadi
There’s one particular lady at Dunia Camp, who has made a name for herself in the Serengeti, our very own Zawadi, and we would love to share her story with you.
We are so proud to have such strong and empowering women as a part of the Asilia family and will continue to sing their praises for as long as possible and show off their spectacular talents and accomplishments. Here is aspecial moment in the Serengeti of Zawadi proudly showing off her article in Conde Nast Traveler!
The Wonder Women Of Dunia Camp
Dunia Camp was never started with the idea of an all-female staff in mind – everything just sort of fell into place.
“We are proof that women can work in any environment if they are given the opportunity.” – Angel Namshali, Dunia Camp Manager
Working towards a staff of only females, Dunia Camp slowly introduced more and more women to the camp while transferring their men to other Asilia properties. In the end, we’re left with an entirely female-run camp which is thriving in the middle of the Serengeti!Dunia is a tranquil semi-permanent camp with just eight spacious tented suites, each with expansive views of the pristine wilderness and game-filled plains from a large private veranda.
Here’s a peek at what to expect when joining the Dunia ladies for a safari in the Serengeti…
If you’d like to come and spend a few nights with us at Dunia Camp, we would love to welcome you! Get in touch with your usual travel agent or make an enquriy with us below.
