Great Migration Live Update – 06 March 2017

By Asilia Africa News | 06 March 2017

Migration Monday Update
The latest news is that the herds have finally made their way down to Ndutu. We have received reports of massive herds of wildebeest around Ndutu, Kusini and Naabi.
The lack of rain has really played a big part in the unusual movements of the herds, in fact we even received herds that a section of the herds were in the Grumeti region a few weeks ago, calving, but moved south again as the rains started to pick up.
The herds move slowly and predictably, as the one-month old calves are fed constantly. The glut of calves make easy prey for predators. Expect lots of lion and leopard encounters.
Thank you to HerdTracker for the update!
