July marks the start of theMara River crossingas well as the mating season in theSerengeti.
Safari guideFirozdin Rafiq saw the great herds in the Kogatende in the Makutano area. However, with the heavy rains in the Nyamalumbwa area all the way towards the Gardenia Valley, the herds are expected to stay for a few more weeks on theNyamalumbwaand Gardenia Valley plains.
