Ever since Roo saw the Great Migration on the National Geographic, it immediately fell into his bucket list.Roo’s bucket list was checked when he witnessed the herds crossing the Mara River on the Maasai Mara Plains.
Annie Alisa was amazed to sight hundreds of wildebeest in the Mara River crossing to the Kenyan border.

The wildebeest fight for survival against a Nile crocodileat point number 2 in the Mara River on the Serengeti plains.

Asilia Africa ranger Elia Edward captured an amazing scene of thousands ofwildebeest crossing the Mara River fromthe Serengeti plains. The herds weremoving from the Nyamalumbwa and Gardenia Valley area – following rain showers on the Kenya side.

An experience you have to see to really believe. Unfortunately for some, the crossing of the Mara River does not end well. It’s a lucky draw who gets across and who doesn’t when the hungry crocodiles are hiding beneath the river surface.
