While you’re encouraged to head out on a game drive in the early morning, your schedule is completely up to you. Each group is provided with their own private 4×4 game vehicle, guide and wildlife spotter to provide privacy and flexibility. A day at Serian might look like something like this: 

Start with a game drive along the Mara River to observe hippos and crocodiles basking in the first morning rays. Then head over the plains to hear the roar of lions as they call to one another. Back at camp, enjoy abreakfast of sandwiches, muffins, cereals, fruit and fresh coffee. Set out for your chance to see wildebeest crossing the wide-open spaces to and from the Mara River. Then return for a light lunch and a well-earned siesta.  

Around 4pm, enjoy an afternoon cup of tea or coffee accompanied by sweet treats before heading out for another game drive in the cooling afternoon. While out in the bush, you’ll pull up to a scenic spot for sundowners and to watch the colours of the dusk sky. 

After returning from your evening game drive, there’s time to freshen up before meeting at the fireplace to relax with a G&T and share stories of the day with other guests. Dinner is a three-course meal under the night sky at a communal table.

Rooms 

Accommodation at Serian consists of four standard rooms and one suite. Each tent is set up on hardwood decking, with spectacular views of the Mara River. The decks are perfectly designed for watching the animals congregate at the river or admiring the dramatic views of the Oloololo Escarpment.  

The rooms are elegantly furnished with small, thoughtful touches that will make you feel at home. Each has an en suite bathroom with a shower, bathtub with stunning views, twin basins and a flushing toilet.
