House of Waine Experience
During your stay, you’ll get to know the story of the family who has created this beautiful boutique property. House of Waine is decorated in modern African style and each bedroom has a theme that is expressed through tasteful decor and colours.
Spacious lounge and dining areas invite guests to stay awhile at the bar and enjoy a glass of chilled wine or savour a delicious meal in front of a crackling fire. The lounge area bursts with vibrant colours and patterns, with tall French windows leading out to the stunning tropical gardens, inviting you to inspect the colourful flowers and birds.
The hotel’s swimming pool, tucked away among the greenery of the garden, is ideal for soaking away the hot Nairobi afternoons.
The 10 rooms can be prepared in a range of configurations to suit guests’ requirements (such as opting for interleading rooms for parents and children). Each one has a theme that draws on African elements. Bustani means ‘garden’ in Swahili and this particular room is adorned with deep greens and elegant leaf prints while Ziwa, which is Swahili for ‘lake,’ is decked out in shimmering turquoise. The Malaika suite is a tribute to the matriarch of the House of Waine family. The four-poster bed with elegant drapes and the bold black decor reflect the style and grace for which she was well known.
The family cottage is perfect for small groups, sleeping three adults in one double and one single room, both with en suite bathrooms. This recently redesigned space also includes a private dining room seating up to six people, a fully equipped kitchen and a glorious private garden.
Rooms all have separate baths and showers. Amenities include WiFi, telephones, televisions, air conditioning, bathrobes, hairdryers, safes and fully equipped tea-and-coffee stations.
