Little Oliver's
Oliver's Camp: Little Oliver’s
Tarangire National Park, Tanzania
With just five tents, Little Oliver’s is a wonderfully select part of Oliver's Camp in Tarangire National Park, one of the best places in Tanzania for a combination of wildlife and exclusivity.
Although the park has plenty of elephants and lions, around 550 bird species during migration season and huge ancient baobabs, it’s not as busy as many other destinations.
Set slightly apart from the main camp, the Little Oliver’s wing overlooks a floodplain frequented by elephants. From your private deck, listen to the sounds of the bush — the chorus of birds, the rustle of dry grass in the breeze — and look out for giraffes strutting along the floodplain. Later, sip a G&T around the campfire and watch as the stars shoot across the dark night sky.
In addition to our twice-daily game drives, explore Tarangire on foot where guests can learn about the smaller wildlife that lives there and even get up close to some of the larger residents. Night drives allow you to observe nocturnal animals such as hyenas and genets.

Guest Reviews
From the moment we arrived at Little Oliver's, we were warmly welcomed by Levi and his staff. After a short orientation, including heads up for mischievous honey badgers, we were escorted to our lovely tent. It provided everything we might need for a great stay along with an outdoor shower with a beautiful view. Meals were served on a charming patio with the same beautiful view! The food was fresh and delicious. We were sent off and welcomed back after our daily game drives and made to feel like special guests. We were also escorted safely back to our tent every night, which was much appreciated. This was just a lovely experience, and we would definitely love to come back one day!!!! - Susanne Tooth
Our first trip to Africa got off to a wonderful start. On our very first outing we saw more wildlife that we thought we'd see over many days. The red soil and the beautiful termite mounds were wonderful accents to our photos. The staff was terrific. The food was excellent. (We had the chef take a bow,) Our accommodations were lovely, and very comfortable. The sun downers behind the camp were delightful. We met folks from all over the world and greatly enjoyed the opportunity to share meals in a common room - Mad-Travelers-47
This camp just blew me away. I’ve never stayed in anywhere quite so amazing right in the middle of the bush with animals and birds all around us. The tent was luxury, the outside shower a must and the food, service and camp fire were magical. Can’t recommend this place enough.
Levy the manager and all his team were simply the best. - Jencheltenham
