When to Travel
When to Travel to Little Oliver's
Visit Little Oliver’s Camp at any time of year - it rarely feels busy and even the wet seasons are perfect for photography and birding. The best months to visit are September and October, when the peak season crowds have thinned out and the dry conditions make for excellent wildlife spotting.
Why travel at this time
There are fewer tourists in the area at this time and it’s great for birding (the migratory birds are in the region) and for photography, with lush landscapes and clear skies. There’s usually a break between the short and long rains in January and February.
Climate
This is the hottest time of year. The average maximum temperature is 29°C/84°F and can feel quite humid. The average low fluctuates between 16°C/61°F and 17°C/63°F. There will be some showers in January and February and the long rains begin in March.
