Things to Do
Things to Do at Topi House
Game drives
We usually run game drives twice a day in the early morning and late afternoon. Staying at Topi House, you have a private vehicle, which means you can decide how long you stay out in the bush and what you want to see. From Topi House, you can drive into the Masai Mara National Reserve or stay in the conservancy. Our vehicles are either open-sided or closed with pop-up roofs, and are equipped with fridges and charging points.
Cultural excursions
The Maasai — after whom the Masai Mara National Reserve is named — live in villages around the conservancies. We can organise visits to certain communities to meet the people who own this land and to learn about the Maasai way of life.
Hot-air balloon safaris
A hot-air balloon safari is easily the most romantic way to admire the landscape. As you glide above the Mara plains, watch the sun peek over the horizon and the first orange rays illuminate the land. Flights are subject to weather conditions and at an additional cost.
Photographic safaris
Nearby Naboisho Conservancy is home to one of our specially modified photographic vehicles. The open vehicle allows keen amateurs and professional photographers alike to shoot at eye level with wildlife. It is equipped with all the gear to ensure award-winning shots — from beanbags and camera rests to 360° swivel seats. You can read more about the vehicle here. Please enquire to ensure availability of the vehicle and confirm any additional fees.
