No video or photo does the migration justice! Charlene captured thousands of wildebeest and zebra close to the southern Serengeti on the border of the Ngorongoro Conservation area.
Coastal Aviation pilot Lucas Assenga spotted a large herd of the wildebeest looking like ants in the distance, scattered southwest of the Ndutu airstrip.
Benjamin Yaato captured the herds right in front of the camp this morning. However, a large number of herds is on the Makao Plains.
The migration was seen matching along the Lake Masek in the Ndutu!
The great herds are scattered all over the Ndutu Plains from the Hidden Vally towards the Southern part of Ndutu. However, the Ndutu area all the way to the Naabi Hills and Gol Mountains have been experiencing good rains.
Lead safari guide Allen Mollel saw the great migration in the southern Serengeti heading towards the south-west of the Ndutu plains during his morning game drive.
Thank you to Herd Tracker for this week’s update!
