Partena Lukeine

Partena joined the Asilia family in 2007 as a room attendant in our safari camps, and in 2010 he realised his dream of joining Asilia’s guide training course to become a trained safari guide. His passion for wildlife, birds and the landscapes of northern Tanzania was soon clear, and he worked his way through the many levels of guide training.

He worked for several years as a resident guide at Dunia in the central Serengeti, before moving around Asilia’s other Serengeti camps to become a real specialist in Tanzania’s most famous national park. In recent years, his base has been the big cat heaven of the eastern grasslands at Namiri Plains where he has become one of the company’s best and most highly requested guides. As a professional walking guide, Partena loves to notice the smaller details of the bush and is an expert birder. He knows the short grass plains like the back of his hand and is an endless source of knowledge about the natural history of the Serengeti.
