Sustainability in Greater Masai Mara

Located in the southwest corner of Kenya this area is a natural extension of the Serengeti Plains and a destination and natural corridor for the Great Migration.  It includes the Masai Mara National Reserve and adjoining 16 community conservancies.

Asilia was a formative partner in the creation of the world-class Naboisho Conservancy and remains very involved in its governance.  We also raised the seed funding for the formation of the Masai Mara Wildlife Conservancy Association, which is essential for the area’s future prospects, and so we remain at the forefront of ensuring that this 2,660 km2 wildlife refuge remains viable for the long term.
