Sustainability in the Serengeti

In February 2015 we started a vegetable out-growers initiative in five villages just outside the park.  The scheme not only provides employment for vulnerable people but also supplies our camps with fresh, organic vegetables.  “It stops me from doing bad things,” says Juliana Myenjwa from Merenga village and single mother of eight.

You may visit the villages, enjoy traditional hospitality, and meet these engaging people thereby adding to the direct benefits they derive from your visit.

Asilia projects in the Serengeti

How you can support the Serengeti

Asilia camps contribute to the conservation of the invaluable Serengeti ecosystem. By supporting responsible tourism inside the park and working on tangible development projects with the communities around the park, your visit plays an important role in the conservation of the most famous wildlife park in the world.
