Many different areas of the Serengeti can be accessed from Kubu Kubu due to its central location. Your guide will spend time discussing the various options and together you will decide each day what areas to explore. Your game drives will usually happen in the early morning or late afternoon as this is when the temperatures are cooler, and the animals are most active — you will return to camp in the middle of the day to enjoy lunch and maybe spend some time relaxing around the pool or even indulging in a massage.

There is also the option of all-day game drives, you leave camp after breakfast and spend the whole day exploring and wildlife viewing. At lunchtime your guide will find a nice shady spot to set up your picnic and packed lunches and, in the evening, you will return to camp in time to freshen up before enjoying a sundowner drink around the campfire and supper under the stars.

Rooms

Kubu Kubu boasts 25 guest tents including one family unit. Each room has been positioned with privacy in mind along two rows on the hillside. All the rooms are raised up on an impressive timber platform and the private balconies maximise the stunning views of the plains below.

Inside each room there is a double bed or two twin beds — all with mosquito netting, there are plenty of comfy chairs as well as ample storage space and a small writing desk. The family room has four beds and can sleep, two adults and three children.

Additional in-room amenities include a telephone, a tea-and-coffee station, mineral water, bathrobes, and a hairdryer. The en suite facilities comprise of a flush toilet, washbasin with a large mirror and spacious outdoor shower with hot and cold water.
