- Overnight at Nile Safari Lodge
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your scheduled flight to Pakuba Airfield in Murchison Falls National Park. On arrival, you will be met by your guide and transferred to Nile Safari Lodge, set along the southern banks of the Nile River.
Murchison Falls is Uganda’s largest national park and one of its most dramatic landscapes, where the Nile forces its way through a narrow gorge before plunging down in a powerful cascade. The surrounding savannah is home to a wide variety of wildlife, including elephant, giraffe, lion and buffalo.
Game drives explore the park’s northern sector, while boat safaris along the Nile offer a unique perspective, with opportunities to see hippos, crocodiles and abundant birdlife up close. The combination of river and savannah makes this a rich and rewarding introduction to Uganda’s wildlife.
- Fly to Kasese Airfield
- Chimpanzee tracking and forest walks
- Overnight at Primate Lodge
After breakfast, transfer to the airstrip for your flight to Kasese, followed by a road transfer to Kibale National Park. You will arrive at Primate Lodge in time to settle in and enjoy lunch beneath the forest canopy.
Kibale is renowned as one of the best places in Africa to track wild chimpanzees. Accompanied by expert guides, venture into the forest in search of these intelligent and social primates. Once located, spend time observing their behaviour, from feeding and grooming to playful interactions within the group.
In addition to chimp tracking, guided forest walks reveal a rich ecosystem of other primates, birds and plant life, offering a deeper appreciation of this biodiverse rainforest.
- Fly to Kihihi Airfield
- Game drives and community visit
- Overnight at Ishasha Wilderness Camp
After breakfast, fly to Kihihi Airfield, where you will be met and transferred to Ishasha Wilderness Camp in the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park.
This remote and less-visited area is best known for its population of tree-climbing lions, often seen resting in the branches of fig trees during the heat of the day. The open savannah and riverine habitats also support elephant, buffalo, topi and a variety of bird species.
Game drives offer excellent wildlife viewing in a peaceful setting, far from the busier areas of the park. A visit to the local community provides valuable insight into the people who live alongside these protected areas, adding an important cultural dimension to your stay.
- Transfer to Bwindi
- Gorilla trekking and nature walks
- Overnight at Volcanoes Bwindi Lodge
After breakfast, enjoy a scenic road transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, where you will be welcomed at Volcanoes Bwindi Lodge.
Bwindi is home to nearly half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas, and trekking to see them is one of the most extraordinary wildlife encounters available anywhere. Led by experienced trackers, hike through dense forest terrain to locate one of the habituated families. Once found, spend a magical hour observing these gentle giants in their natural habitat.
Additional activities include guided nature walks through the forest and time to relax at the lodge, taking in views across the surrounding hills and valleys.
