Operating since 2015, the Twende Porini programs have proven immensely valuable and made great strides toward education and conservation awareness for children from the local areas as well as the broader community.
This in-house initiative welcomes children from surrounding communities into Asilia camps to experience first-hand what a safari is all about. For many of them, it is their first-time viewing wildlife in a non-threatening environment, allowing them to observe their beauty and begin to understand why tourists come all the way to East Africa to see them.
Our dedication to sustainable tourism includes prioritising education, which is vital to conservation efforts. Through our flagship Positive Impact initiative, Twende Porini, we introduce children from local communities to the wonders of the wild with enjoyable, interactive activities and experiences.
Spending time at one of our Asilia camps, the children explore the area and learn many new things about our wildlife, whilst understanding the importance of conservation – maybe one day, some of these happy faces will be guiding you on your own safari adventure!
