The Asilia Edit is here to assist you in the decision-making process, by entirely removing the difficult, and sometimes tiring, decisions from your plate. After having made the decision to travel, all that remains is to choose the Asilia Edition that most appeals to your sense of safari adventure. While each itinerary within The Asilia Edit is unique, there are shared points across the itineraries that can be unpacked to better understand what it is that sets The Asilia Edit apart from other safari options.

Seamless Journeys

What is a Seamless Journey?

Logistics across East Africa can be tricky. Whether your ideal safari happens only in Tanzania, or combines Tanzania with Kenya and Uganda, understanding the distances that need to be covered and the amount of time that needs to be allowed for travel is crucial in creating an itinerary that doesn’t end up feeling rushed or exhausting.

This knowledge also impacts suggested activities and the length of time spent in one location. After a 4-hour drive, not many people will be keen for a 3-hour game drive. Our journeys take these factors into consideration, allowing for breathing space around the included activities to ensure that our guests are sufficiently rested to be fully engaged. Each step throughout each itinerary within The Asilia Edit has been carefully considered, looking at both the previous and the following steps, to create an itinerary with balance and perfect flow. A journey that is seamless.

A Dedicated Host

What does the Dedicated Host bring to the safari experience?

Travelling with a dedicated host provides you with a constant first point of contact for any questions or queries that come up along the way. The dedicated host is there to assist with any aspect of your safari. If you decide you’d prefer to skip the morning game drive and instead enjoy a leisurely morning in camp, your host can ensure all alternative arrangements are in place with the camp management team.

A dedicated host is always on hand to help and assist as needed.

The host knows everyone’s food and drink preferences and constantly liaises with the staff to ensure every detail is always as it should be, whether it’s confirming wake-up coffee orders or booking an afternoon spa treatment. The presence of the dedicated host creates an additional layer of attention to detail and accentuates the seamless nature of an Asilia Edition, encouraging guests to fully relax, unwind, and focus all their attention on the safari experience.

Travel with like-minded companions

Who are the Like-Minded Travellers?

While we cannot control what type of personalities decide to join an Asilia small group tour, it is arguably safe to assume that they will be curious travellers, interested in the wildlife, culture, and landscapes of East Africa, with a desire to meet new people. With this shared ground established for all members of the group, it is highly likely that individuals will discover their travelling companions to be like-minded to themselves, with common or relatable interests. While the members of the group may start out as strangers, by the end of the tour there will no doubt be new friendships, bound by shared moments and connected through the crafted journey of an Asilia Edition.

Thoughtful Extras

What are the Thoughtful Extras?

In every itinerary that we create, we will always be looking to suggest activities that enrich the experience and bring an additional element to the safari. Some of these activities may be included in the cost of the accommodation but require the time for them to be enjoyed, while others may be an additional cost.

To enrich the small group tours of The Asilia Edit, we have elected to include meaningful activities – such as a hot air balloon safari, or a relaxing massage – thoughtful extras that add depth to your chosen safari experience. Additionally, we have sourced exclusive gifts for our guests. Small tokens to make the moment more special and to carry home with you as a keepsake reminder of this East Africa safari.
