Asilia was founded 21 years ago when a collection of owner-run camps came together with a shared belief that tourism, done right, could be a force for good. That same belief continues to guide us today, as we strive to create Impact at Scale across the wild places we call home.
As we move into 2026, we’re proud to welcome Emboo, located in the heart of the Maasai Mara Reserve, Kenya into the Asilia portfolio of camps and lodges through a long-term partnership rooted in shared values, respect for nature, and a commitment to a truly sustainable future.

Kindred Spirits with a Shared Vision
Emboo, an owner-run camp founded in 2019, was built with sustainability as its foundation. The camp operates entirely on solar power, runs the first fully electric safari vehicle fleet in Kenya, and recycles or reuses nearly everything on site – from greywater to biogas. Their transparent approach allows guests to see sustainability in action, from behind-the-scenes eco-tours to practical lessons on what’s possible in the field and how their stay supports a lighter footprint.

These values mirror our own. At both Asilia and Emboo, integrity, humility, and care for people and place are at the heart of everything we do. By joining forces, we can push sustainable tourism even further – sharing knowledge, improving best practices, and showing what a positive impact travel can have. For our guests this means access to more adventures, the same warm hospitality, and a deeper contribution towards a brighter, carbon-neutral future.
