Things to do at Elephant Bedroom

With the main source of water right at your doorstep, game viewing has never been so easy. The sight of animals roaming right into the camp make it difficult to drag yourself from the comfort of your deckchair. However, game drives in open 4×4s offer the chance to explore the reserve further.

Game drives

After a wake-up call with tea or coffee, head out into the crisp morning to watch wildlife at their most active. Travellers have the best seats in the house, with a table set along the river or under the shade of a doum palm to enjoy a home-cooked meal right in the bush. If you are eager to make the most of your time out in the wild, we can pack a delicious lunch to take with you.

Walking safari

Step out of the vehicle and enjoy a change of pace with a trained walking guide. Learn more about the little creatures that are so easily missed from a 4×4. Feel at one with nature as you track elephants and walk in their footsteps.

Sundowners

A cool drink at the end of a hot day is a beloved tradition in the bush. Watch an unforgettable day come to a close with a chilled beer or G&T in the company of friends and family.

Cultural visits

Do not miss the opportunity to learn more about the culture of the indigenous people who live here. Elephant Bedroom Camp offers guests the opportunity to learn more about the Samburu traditions and way of life through cultural visits to local villages. It is an unforgettable experience to watch Samburu warriors sing and dance, telling tales of great legends and adventures.
