Located in the centre of Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park, Kubu Kubu Tented Lodge offers contemporary accommodation that seamlessly blends authentic African design with traditional style and comfort.
Kubu Kubu is set on a hillside with sweeping views over the central plains of the Serengeti National Park, this makes it the ideal setting for viewing year-round, resident game. At certain times of year, it is also possible to view the migration herds as they make their way through the central region of the park.
The guest rooms at Kubu Kubo stand on solid timber platforms and the outside showers and private balconies make the most of the sweeping views below. The main areas of the lodge, also set on the hillside, are generously proportioned, and elegantly furnished. The lounge and the dining area both flow out onto a large deck where guests can enjoy al fresco dining, snacks, and of course sundowner drinks around the obligatory campfire. For those looking to soak up the sun or relax between safari activities, the large pool with surrounding sun loungers is incredibly inviting.

My husband and I enjoyed the trip of a lifetime to Tanzania in August 2021. One of the highlights was three nights we spent at Kubu Kubu Tented Lodge. This is an amazing place to stay. The tents are very private, with unbelievable views and really cool outdoor showers. The staff is terrific and very attentive and friendly. We greatly enjoyed the common area and swimming in the beautiful pool. Sunsets from the main lodge's deck are fantastic. The food is delicious, with many options. This is the only place we stayed in which alcoholic beverages (top shelf) were included in the price. The laundry service is quick and very inexpensive. Absolutely 100% satisfied. - Karen S
Wow! This place was amazing, and definitely a highlight of our African safari. The staff calls it their palace, and I would tend to agree with that description. It's situated on the hill overlooking the Serengeti so the view is fantastic. Sipping wine in the infinity pool while watching the sunset over the Serengeti was unforgettable. The outdoor shower was a pretty cool experience as well. Because this is located in the park, you can hear and see animals from your balcony. When we left for a balloon safari in the early morning, we saw a pack of 7 lions on the drive out which was remarkable. The food was delicious, the staff was very friendly and welcoming, and the rooms were big and comfortable. I would highly recommend this lodge, and would definitely stay there again. We have really really enjoyed our stay at the Kubu Kubu Tented Lodge. The rooms are large and the outdoor shower is just amazing. The views are mesmerizing, both from room the as well as the restaurant and pool. The staff is extremely kind and really made us feel comfortable. Also Veronika makes the BEST packed lunch EVERRRRR. The staff is such a joy to be around and they made sure we were short of nothing. Last but not least, breakfast and dinner was absolutely delicious. There is a lot of variety of food. You will definitely NOT regret staying at this lodge. We highly recommend it. - Najma & Telli
