Where to stay on your Asilia Family Safari

A family safari is an intimate and tailor-made celebration allowing you to enjoy Africa’s wildlife without distractions. This adventure best suits children over the age of 5 years, when they can appreciate the wonders of wildlife and enjoy the exciting and age-appropriate activities we offer. Nearly all Asilia camps feature either a dedicated family tent or an exclusive private unit ideally suited for accommodating family travel, all offering deliciously created healthy meals for both you and your kids. Elevate your experience to the next level by selecting either Sayari Retreat or Namiri Plains Retreat, or the Private House at Jabali, for your own exclusive space in the wild. Our knowledgeable team of experts will happily guide you accordingly.

The beautifully and stylishly designed boutique Asilia camps in Kenya and Tanzania provide the quintessential backdrop for planting a personal family tree of laughter, love, and togetherness. Our camps offer the most sublime venues for any family safari, leaving everlasting indelible memories.

Children on Safari

We warmly welcome children over the age of 5 at most of our Asilia camps. Usangu Expedition Camp and Kokoko Camp are the exceptions here and have a minimum age of 12. Child-friendly meals are available at all camps except Usangu Expedition Camp and Kokoko Camp.

At Asilia camps where walking safaris are offered, these are not available to children under the age of 12. At Rubondo Island Camp, children need to be at least 16 for walking safaris.

We regret that child-minding services are not available at our camps at this time.
